rff has pointed the way to the future, appointing Michael Allexi an additional Managing Director with effect from 1 January 2017. This trend-setting decision allows the company to continue to look to the future with optimism.
The appointment marks a key step in the direction of the generational change in Board of Management initiated in 2014.
"I am delighted that I was able in 2014 to get Michael Allexi on board, a manager with long experience in the international, metals distribution business. He will continue to lead the company into the future with his ideas. However, as the founder of the company, I still maintain responsibility in 2017. With the current market situation in particular it is important to make strategically-important decisions together," says Hartmut Böttche.
Michael Allexi is also delighted with his appointment to the Board of Management and is well aware of the responsibility that this task brings with it. "I am very grateful for the trust that the company and Hartmut Böttche have placed in me. As Managing Director I see myself in a position in which I can have even greater influence on the positive development of the company," says Allexi.
Specifically, this means that Allexi will continue to work towards securing the future of the company. In this, issues such as customer proximity and investment in infrastructure are as important to him as the training of employees. Moreover, innovative ideas are called for in order to offer customers decisive added value with regard to the ongoing process of digitalisation with intelligent solutions. "If we continue to focus on the requirements of our customers, then rff is very well placed to face the future," Böttche and Allexi agree.
The rff career of Michael Allexi (44) began on 1 September 2014. His management responsibility initially lay in the field of international sales. In September 2015 Allexi also assumed overall responsibility for domestic sales, procurement and material management – since the beginning of the year he is now also Managing Director with responsibility for the fields of sales and procurement, as well as the assigned departments.
