The focus of corporate development at rff Rohr Flansch Fitting Handels GmbH lies increasingly on internationalisation: the beginning of September saw Calgary- and Edmonton-based wff Fittings & Flanges (Canada) Ltd. become a part of the rff family.
Founded in 1975, wff is a well-established and important master distributor of carbon steel flanges and fittings in ASME- standard with decades of experience in the Canadian market. Until the 1990s, the firm was also part of the Geldbach Group. Alongside its headquarters in Calgary, the company also operates a sales office with a warehouse in Edmonton and enjoys an outstanding reputation as a reliable partner to its customers.
Thus far, the company has been run jointly by Doug Dunsmuir and his son Kevin Dunsmuir. Following the takeover, Kevin Dunsmuir will act as sole managing director of wff, with Doug Dunsmuir assuming leadership of the administrative parent company.
“This takeover enables rff to expand its business activity in Canada and considerably improve access to the North American market. wff will continue to act as an independently operating master distributor in the market, benefiting from the international networks of rff and the Geldbach Group, including our production capacity,” state rff managing directors Michael Allexi and Jörg Delveaux.
